The hottest story on the Internet are the new crop circle formations that appeared just a few days ago near a radio telescope in England. The world is holding its breath as it waits to know to things: Is it real, and why now? And, could this mean a new hope for world peace?

FIRST CONTACT: CHILBOLTON ET MESSAGE DECODED

On 17th August, 2001 two large and incredible images were imprinted on crops beside ANOTHER radio telescope - Chilbolton, near Wherwell in Hampshire, UK. In the style of the now infamous "crop circles", they are drawn by a mysterious flattening of the crop. One image depicts a replica of the schematic contained in that 1974 transmission. The other crop image is that of a humanoid face.

Either this is an incredible hoax or an incredible first contact reply.

Is This A Man-made Hoax?

Before we start renting Spielberg’s Encounters and E.T. films, we need to know that these images -- as profound as they may see -- are real.

Fortunately there are ways this can be achieved and high degree of reliability, and the leading man in the field of crop circle validation is Dr. Eltjo Haselhoff, who has identified a clear marker for eliminating man-made crop circles.

DR ELTJO HASELHOFF is one of the few people on planet Earth to have had a paper published on crop circles in a peer-reviewed scientific journal (‘Physiologa Plantarum’).

My paper shows that the node lengthening in several crop circles corresponds perfectly to the effect that would be created by a ball of light, heating up the crop during the creation of the crop circle. This is not the case for a man-made formation. The amount of node lengthening, and in particular its symmetry over the crop circles, lack any trivial explanation.

In the early 1990s, the American biophysicist William Levengood discovered that plants inside crop circles often had much longer nodes than those in the undisturbed, surrounding crop.

Although there are known biological effects that can create node lengthening, these could be easily ruled out. It was clear that something else had happened. The effect could be simulated by placing normal, healthy stems inside a microwave oven. The heat induced by the microwaves made the liquids inside the nodes expand, just like the mercury inside a thermometer. This caused the nodes to increase in length, while the amount of lengthening increased proportionally to the amount of microwave energy that was generated. This finding led to the conclusion that the node lengthening effect may be caused by the involvement of heat, possibly caused by microwave radiation. In fact, traces of heat have been found innumerable times in crop circles all over the world, such as dehydrated plants, burn marks, and molten snow.

Until such time as experts such as Dr. Eltjo Haselhoff can make definitive statements about the causes of these crop circles, we should not rush to judgment.  However, the timing of this is most auspicious.

US Militarization of Space and The Crop Circles

Last May, Dr. Greer of CSETI held a press conference in Washington D.C. as part of his UFO Disclosure project for the benefit of the corporate media.

Please note, the term “corporate media” refers to the fact that follow decades of consolidations, merges and acquisitions, 6 major corporations now control what was previously called the “news media.” 

The response of the corporate media response was predicable. They yawned and the event was unmercifully panned by most corporate media pundits, as we reported in our analysis of that event.

UFO Disclosures

Last Wednesday, a lot of brave and credible people stepped forward at the CSETI disclosure presentation at the Washington Press Club, to publicly expressed their willingness to disclose classified UFO information before Congress.  Unfortunately, the whole event lacked the entertainment value of a sexy Presidential peccadillo, as was well demonstrated by the question CNN posed the next day on its UFO message board: “Are UFOs just fiction made up for entertainment? How seriously should we consider extraterrestrials? What are your UFO theories?”   And this single question really frames the whole UFO debate. 

However, something very significant did happen at that event! 

The panel, which included former high ranking government officials such as John L. Maynard, Sr. who now holds a high-level position with the IMF, was adamant about an issue that relates to the Chilbolton crop circles.

To a person they all said the same thing at the conclusion of the press conference -- the US militarization of space is sending the wrong message to off-world civilizations.  It must be stopped.

Auspicious Timing

World events are moving us towards conflicts that could be disastrous, and the battleground has just shifted in an entirely new direction -- up!

With the end of the Cold War, Russia mighty conventional Red Army is now a former shadow of itself and incapable being the threat it was years back. However, Russia still maintains a vast ICBM arsenal with powerful nuclear weapons and for this reason the US Government might be singing the song of peace, but quietly has yet to change its perception of Russia as a possible nuclear threat.

Add to this the increasing threats from rogue states like North Korea, Iran, Syria, and Libya, plus the massive armaments program currently underway in Communist China and need for a space-based defense makes sense. That is, to the most powerful nation in the world. Consequently, President Bush has openly stated his new policy that America will unilaterally withdraw from the ABM treaty whether or not the the Russians are willing to compromise.

Bush: U.S. to have own timetable for ABM pullout

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President George W. Bush said Thursday the United States will withdraw from the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile treaty with Russia, but did not specify a timeline for backing away from the longstanding arms control agreement.

"We will withdraw from the ABM treaty on our timetable," Bush said, speaking at a school in Crawford, Texas, where he is on vacation. Abandoning the ABM treaty would be a step toward the eventual creation of a national anti-ballistic missile defense system. Thus far, Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected the Bush administration's push for a joint withdrawal from the treaty, which bans missile defense programs.

In addition to this bold foreign policy move, President Bush has just announced the nomination of a former space military issues expert to lead the US joint chiefs of staff.

CRAWFORD, Texas, Aug 24 (AFP) - President George W. Bush announced Friday his nomination of Air Force General Richard Myers, an expert on space military issues, to be the next chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff, the top US armed forces job.

RICHARD MYERS APPOINTED US ARMED FORCES CHIEF. NMD NOW TO BE BUILT “RELENTLESSLY” AND “WITH SLEEVES ROLLED UP”

US President George Bush nominated yesterday 59-year-old Air Force General Richard Myers as chairman of the Joint Chief of Staffs - the top job in the US armed forces (his candidature is still to be approved by the US Senate, although the Senate is expected to do it without controversy). Gen. Myers was chosen for the job precisely because his views are shared by both of his bosses, President George W. Bush and Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld. He is considered an active advocate of deploying the National Missile Defence programme. He told a news conference that he would be working on the materialization of the idea “relentlessly” and “with his sleeves rolled up.” Gen. Myers also said he was intending to create such armed forces for the USA which would “meet both today’s growing requirements and would counter the growing threats from rogue countries.”

If Dr. Green and his Disclosure panel members are right that the militarization of space sends the wrong message, then perhaps we’re getting a collect call from space.
