Threat of Catastrophic
Earth Changes Quickens

Are unseen forces now pulling at the core of our planet, hurtling mankind towards imminent global catastrophe? The answer is yes, but only if you are willing to accept the data at face value without rationalizing it away, as we have for decades.  For hundreds of years, prophets and visionaries have warned us of the signs, and to this day, the possibility of catastrophic Earth changes is still being debated in a geological sense, where the term “imminent” is loosely measured in human lifetimes if not civilizations.  Yet, at this very moment, our planet is compressing the possibility of catastrophic Earth changes into a very human measure of time – in the imminent sense.

We May See an Island Rise

Mt. Etna in Sicily has been in the news this year, and now a volcanic island that has been submerged since 1831 could reappear.

Hidden island off Sicily may reappear

ROME, Italy -- A volcanic island submerged off the coast of Sicily for the past 170 years could reappear in the coming weeks if furious seismic rumblings continue, Italy's chief seismologist said Monday. 

"We've seen Etna erupting, seismic activity to the north and east of Sicily and gas activity around the Aeolian Islands," said Enzo Boschi, head of Italy's Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. 

"The island could come back to the surface, but we'll have to wait and see. ... It could be a few weeks or months." 

Over the centuries, the island has emerged four times, with underwater volcanic eruptions first recorded during the first Punic War of 264-241 B.C.

The last emergence on July 2, 1831, caused months of international wrangling with four nations making territorial claims including Britain, Spain and the Bourbon court of Sicily.

The possibility of this island rising once again from the sea has created a great deal of speculation. And of course, one cannot “what if” the future without looking into the past for relevant prophecies.  One that immediately leaps to mind for many is Edgar Cayce.

As to the changes physical again: The earth will be broken up in the western portion of America. The greater portion of Japan must go into the sea. The upper portion of Europe will be changed as in the twinkling of an eye. Land will appear off the east coast of America. There will be the upheavals in the Arctic and in the Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanos in the Torrid areas, and there will be shifting then of the poles - so that where there has been those of a frigid or the semi-tropical will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow. And these will begin in those periods in '58 to '98, when these will be proclaimed as the periods when His light will be seen again in the clouds. As to times, as to seasons, as to places, ALONE is it given to those who have named the name - and who bear the mark of those of His calling and His election in their bodies. To them it shall be given.

All that being said, a natural response to any link between the prophecies of Edgar Cayce and the present eruptions of Mt. Etna is: We’ve been watching Etna erupt for years, so stop fishing for prophetic validation.   However, does that argument really stick?

Mt. Etna, a Harbinger of Bad Times to Come

Unusual planetary changes are happening not only on Earth where the number of quakes and volcanic eruptions has been soaring for years.  In the last few years, bizarre planetary changes have also been observed on Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto as well.  Something is afoot, but what?

To dismiss the current speculations about Mt. Etna because one chooses to reject or embrace secular or non-secular prophecy is to be dismissive in a foolishly naïve manner because -- prophecy aside – the data is telling us that we’re in for a bad time. To illustrate why, let’s first take a look at what Mt. Etna is doing and then compare that with current global volcanic activity levels.

Let’s first begin with 2001, and the assessment of the scientific community that Etna is changing at an alarming rate.

Mount Etna Morphing to More Explosive Volcano, Study Says

Mount Etna's recent outbursts may be a sign that the volcano is developing a more explosive personality.

Sicily's Mount Etna is morphing from a "hot-spot" type of volcano, like the quietly oozing and bubbling volcanoes of Hawaii, to an "island-arc" variety represented by the explosive Mount St. Helens and Mount Pinatubo, according to a controversial new study published in the August 30 issue of Nature. 

"Such a transition has never been seen before," said Graham Layne, a geochemist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, who described the report as "very provocative."  

"The most compelling aspect of this study is that the evolution occurred in less than a hundred thousand years," said Layne.

"That's strikingly fast," he added. "Geologists are used to dealing in periods of at least a few million years."

Fine; so that was 2001. Let’s see what has been happening so far this year, in terms of volcanic events for Mt. Etna.

Summary of Findings for 2002

Now comes the interesting part.  Let’s compare the number of events for Mt. Etna with all events for previous years dating back to 1983.

The numbers do not lie, folks.  The second highest year for eruptions on Mt. Etna was 1998 and this year is nearly twice that!

So is Mt. Etna just an isolated fluke?  Good question.  Let’s compare what is happening on Mt. Etna with the annual number of major volcano erruptions dating back to 1994.

Imagine it!  In 2002, twenty different volcanoes have erupted, and the most stellar performer was Mt. Etna which has had 20 events to date. Oddly enough, the data is telling us that 2002 is a 20-20 year for Earth changes, but are we looking at the signs?
